Why doesn't the menu pop up?
I am using your extension in Orion browser, this is the list of supported api's for this browser, I don't know if this extension of yours is supported. But I am using other similar extensions in this browser and I can get a popup menu after selecting the text! https://browser.kagi.com/WebExtensions-API-Support.html
I'll try loading it on a virtual macos install and look. Might be a few days before I get the chance.
I'm trying to troubleshoot the problem myself, maybe it's because I'm a cell phone device that doesn't have a right-click operation and can only left-click and double-click or long-press. Default is long-hold right click. There are no touch event listeners, so you may be right about the mobile compatibility. There are a number of opening options for the popup menu, but even the ones like "icon" rely on standard mouse events like mouseup and mousedown.
(edit) I had done some limited testing on a mobile version of Firefox on android, and the menu did trigger on whatever the default touch / mouse events were. It's been a while though, and I can't say for sure it is still working on that platform
Thank you. I still don't get the menu to appear even after setting up the left click, I think it doesn't support the browser I'm using. I can use other extensions of the same type 😃
