sync searchbar engines with the addon engines

thanks a lot for this nice add on is there any way to sync searchbar of the firefox with the add on after that we imported search.json.mozlz4 and changed and edited them? I want my search bar would be exactly the same as contextmenu. whats the solution? thanks.

If the edited search engines have the same name as the Firefox search engines, you can delete the Firefox One-Click Search Engines ( Firefox Options -> Search -> One-Click Search Engines ) and re-import them one at a time using the Install to Firefox One-Click Search Engines button from the ContextSearch web-ext Options -> Search Engines -> Search Engines Manager -> Edit form

Clicking this button sends the ContextSearch search engine data to an external webserver and returns a formatted One-Click Search Engine that can be installed to the Firefox search bar.

It's not an efficient process, but access to Firefox's built-in search bar and search engines is very limited.

ok thanks but as you told It's not an efficient process. what about if i could have a search bar of contextmenu in firefox toolbar so i use it instead of builtin searchbar of firefox? the already one in it's toolbar icon is in the pop up menu and needs to extra clilcking for use it. any help?

Unfortunately, that isn't possible. Developers are only allowed a single icon on the toolbar per add-on. No search bars or other tools. The closest I could get is the "Sidebar" option which you can set to always display a searchbar window inside the browser page. The drawback is it will cover some of your webpage, but it can be easily moved and resized.

Not currently, but it might be possible with a mozlz4 compression script. I'll look into it.
