Problem Description
Can you add preview function to the search results? For example, if you select a search result, a preview will be displayed on the right, such as a preview of word, PDF, compressed file and so on. ~Or I can use Seer(http://1218.io/)to press the space bar to preview, but it seems that pressing the space bar can't preview at present.~

You can have a preview in EverythingToolbar after clicking space
but you have to install QuickLook
Thank you very much. I didn't install Quicklook, but installed seer. I think Seer (http://1218.io/) may be better than Quicklook. Can you add the preview function that supports Seer?

No problem. Btw, I'm not the maintainer of the project but the Seer support has been flaged as feature idea so it's in roadmap.

Adding support for Seer should be possible.
Since the original issue asks for two different things I would appreciate if you could either clarify in this issue what exactly your requirements are or create a separate issue for each request so that they can be tracked independently.
I would like a universal preview within EverythingToolbar itself, too. It could be split in half with the right side showing the preview of the selected file similar to Windows 11 search:
Ideally I would like to embed the QuickLook preview directly into the search window but I'm not sure if there is an easy way to do so and if not, how much work it would be or whether there are existing alternatives. Any opinions?

Indeed, a preview panel will be pretty good. I have a Windows tablet which I mostly use without keyboard so it will allow file preview without space
key
For the UI, a Preview
toggle like in Windows 11 file explorer will be nice.
Version 1.3.2 has added support for Seer. After I update the software, it seems that pressing the space can't preview, but the space directly entered in the search box.

To preview a search result you will have to disable the option "Select first result" and use the arrow keys to navigate to a search result before pressing Space.

A few other tips about Seer's preview feature:
- Currently if you want to preview a file in the search results with Seer, you need to use the up or down arrows to move, and then press the space bar to preview it, such an operation, assuming that if there are a lot of search results, you need to continuously press the up or down arrows all the time to move (which is a problem, you can't keep pressing the up or down arrows to move around in the search results, but continuously tapping on it to move). Whether to add a function: when the search results are displayed, use the mouse wheel to select a file, and then press space to preview. Currently this operation seems to be not feasible.
- At present, when using Seer to preview a file, after previewing a file, if you want to preview another file, you need to press space again to exit the preview mode, move the cursor to the next file to be previewed, and then press space again to preview it, which is a cumbersome operation. Whether to add a function: press space to preview a file, then do not need to press space to exit the preview mode, directly press the up or down arrows to move to another file to preview, because the Seer in the folder is to support this operation.
I would like a universal preview within EverythingToolbar itself, too. It could be split in half with the right side showing the preview of the selected file similar to Windows 11 search:我也希望 EverythingToolbar 本身有一个通用预览。它可以分成两半,右侧显示所选文件的预览,类似于 Windows 11 搜索:

Any opinions?理想情况下,我想将 QuickLook 预览直接嵌入到搜索窗口中,但我不确定是否有一种简单的方法可以做到这一点,如果没有,需要做多少工作或是否有现有的替代方案。有什么意见吗?

It does, and it would be great if it could.
It's been a while since I've used EverythingToolbar, and I found that support for the Seer file preview feature is perfectly supported, so I'd like to thank the developers for that. If you want to use Seer to preview searched files, you need to disable "Select first result" in the configuration and enable "Double click to open".
