Issue: Amarisoft UE Cannot Connect in O-RAN 7.2 Mode with Benetel RU550 Setup

Environment

• RU: Benetel RU550, firmware version: RAN550-1v1.0.4-605a25a
• DU: srsRAN DU server
• UE: Amarisoft UE
• Configuration Mode: O-RAN 7.2
• Clock Synchronization: Direct connection between RU and DU

Issue Description

The Amarisoft UE is unable to complete registration when operating in O-RAN 7.2 mode. While the UE can occasionally scan and detect the DU, it fails to complete the registration process. The RU and DU connection appears to be functioning properly based on synchronization logs and KPI metrics.

Setup Details

1. The RU and DU server are directly connected to each other.
2. Clock synchronization is implemented through a direct connection.
3. Configuration was performed following the official srsRAN documentation at: https://docs.srsran.com/projects/project/en/latest/tutorials/source/oranRU/source/rus/r550.html

Current Status

1. Clock synchronization has been successfully completed as confirmed by the logs:

Problem

Despite the successful RU-DU synchronization and apparently normal KPI metrics, the Amarisoft UE:

• Can only occasionally scan and detect the RU
• Cannot complete the registration process
• Cannot establish a connection in O-RAN 7.2 mode

Steps Already Taken

1. Verified RU firmware version and confirmed it is the same as the guidance provided
2. Followed the official srsRAN documentation for RU550 configuration
3. Confirmed successful clock synchronization between RU and DU
4. Verified normal KPI metrics on the DU
