Enhancement - Disable sleep sleep but allow idle sleep
I would love if there were an option to allow the computer to sleep based only
on the idle time setting (e.g. closing the won't put the computer to sleep, but
if it's left idle for the amount of time specified in the 'normal' settings it
will go to sleep as it normally would).
Effectively I'm hoping that such an option disables the 'lid closed sensor.'
This would be great for anyone with a macbook and an airport extreme who wants
to be able to wake up their macbook 'on-demand' (for things like streaming
audio, video, etc.). When I leave the house, I currently have to make sure
that my wife hasn't closed the lid on the computer and has left it plugged in
or I can't use the wake-on-demand feature that is available if you're connected
to an airport extreme or time capsule. Disabling just the lid sensor
would/should allow this though.
Thanks for a great app! Been using it since shortly before the release of Lion!

Sorry don't know how to list this as an "Enhancement" rather than a defect.

The 'normal' idle settings should work. I've checked it just now.

Thanks so much for the response! I really appreciate your work on this little
program!
I'll have to play around with this again when I get home and have access to my
MacBook, but you're saying that I should be able to disable lid sleep (only)
and the computer's current idle sleep settings should work as if the lid were
open, right?
If my MacBook is plugged in with the lid open, I'm able to remotely wake it
from sleep with certain apps on my iPhone since I have the MacBook on an
airport express network. Any chance you've been able to test to see if you can
wake it like that if its plugged in but the lid is closed (with these
settings)? I was unable to do that previously but I'll play around with it
some more.
Thanks again!
