Install Issues [Mac OS X 10.5.8]

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened this issue 9 years ago • 5 comments

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Attemp to install.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I would expect to be able to install, however, the installer gives the error:
"You cannot install NoSleepPkg on this volume."

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
I tried to use version 1.3.0 on Mac OS X 10.5.8.

Please provide any additional information below.
The screenshot shows the problem, let me know if you would like any specific
error log or command output.

Hello,

Unfortunately, OS X 10.5.x versions are not supported, only 10.6 or higher,
but...
This is a fake requirement - I don't have Leopard and I can not guarantee that
everything will work.

If you are so curious that you are ready to test it on 10.5, I'll remove this
restriction for you.

Yeah I'll test it.
This is my testing computer after all...
If something goes wrong, I know what to do.
I can get any error logs or anything needed, in the case that something happens.

No, didn't work.
[See attached screenshots]

After it installed 'successfully', it did not run.
I went to the system preferences, and it failed to load.
I tried the command line tool that also installed, and it gave an error.

EDIT: Forgot to mention, when I try to run 'NoSleepHelper' it gives an error
message about the version. [See screenshot]

Let me know if you need more information.
