After short delay, NoSleep does not work on macbook pro with external monitor

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened this issue 9 years ago • 3 comments

I want to use my MBP 13 2011 with the lid closed and an external display. I use
a mini-displayport to DVI convertor, then a DVI cable to my Dell 2407WFP.

## What steps will reproduce the problem? ##
1. Attach external display
2. Close the lid of the macbook --> The system will go to sleep after about 12
seconds

## What is the expected output? What do you see instead? ##
It should stay awake. Without the external display, NoSleep is working.

## What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? ##
NoSleep 1.3.3 on OS X 10.9.3

## Please provide any additional information below. ##
This problem occurs since Mavericks.

The only solution I could come up with, was start using a different tool:
InsomniaX does work.

I am having the same problem with my Early 2014 MacBook Air w/ the latest
version of NoSleep (at the time of this post).

I am using a Thunderbolt->DisplayPort cable (third party).
