[Feature Request] Configuration from within the app GUI?

Hello, i really love this app! it's really fantastic, however i have one nitpick which is that i have to manually edit the config.toml file, while this isn't hard perse, i feel like it would be a lot more convenient for the user if the GUI allowed you to just configure the client without having to fiddle with the config.toml.

To be clear, i'm not advocating for removing the ability to manually configure with config.toml, i'd just like an easier and nicer way to configure the client in the GUI.

this would be nice, but i don't think halloy should edit cargo.toml (after the original creation of the file). instead maybe it should create an autogenerated.toml in the same directory

We’ve decided not to build a GUI configuration page for now. After a lot of discussion, we want to keep our focus on adding new features and improving performance. The config file works well, since it’s usually set up once and only occasionally needs to be changed. It’s also quick to add new configuration options. A GUI would take a lot of time to build and maintain, and we don’t think it’s worth it at this point.

We will re-open this if our priorities change in the future.
