Supporting multiple inverters of differing brands.

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. Can PredBat work with two different inverter brands. I’ve got a GivEnergy AIO but interested in added a Solis inverter & Fogstar battery which would need PredBat & HomeAssistant to manage & prevent cross-charging.

Describe the solution you'd like Different brands behaving similar to multiples of same brand.

Describe alternatives you've considered Alternatives are to write an automation to simply pause the secondary battery when primary discharges and only charge when offpeak on a schedule.

Additional context I want to have a most cost effective solution than adding a 2nd AIO - a Solis 3kW AC coupled and 32kWh battery is approx half the price.

Predbat can support multiple inverters. I can't see why you wouldn't be able to have those inverters as different types.

Cross charging is going to be a potential problem with multiple inverters especially when the inverters are in Demand mode, e.g. evening/night time. I have two Gen 1 hybrids and they cross charge although quite gently. Although Predbat can act to stop this, it results in lots and lots of inverter writes which isn't a good thing. Because of this I stopped using Predbat's cross charging management and just let it happen, for me it only cross charges from inverter 1 to 2, and once 2 (which has a smaller battery) is full, it stops.

The way that I've seen the cross charging mitigated is to set the second battery to discharge at a slow rate equivalent to your base load. The primary then handles any load above this. You could do this with predbat by restricting the discharge rate

You can sent the inverter type for each one individually so it should work.

I'm interested in this as well. Not a need right now, but something I'm considering for the future. Is there any chance of an example of a mixed vendor configuration, or a guide on what / how this should be done in principle?
