Cannot nest Entries using odm annotations

I am attempting to use the user-admin sample project provided. For my specific use case I am needing to be able to create a hierarchical tree of objects, which it seems that with using these annotation patterns this only allows for creating one level of entries. Am I missing something here or is this just how it is intended to be used?
