Feature Request: picture cropping

There seems to be no way to crop a picture without first creating a mask, which is useful in some cases and awfully tedious in others. Sometimes I just want a quick crop of a photo at a precise measurement (4x6 8x10 etc. ) without having to go through all those extra steps. Anyway this is possible to just have a photo editing option?
