Feature Request: Resize object to be specific width and height

Open gverma14 opened this issue 11 years ago • 1 comments

There is currently no way to make something an exact pixel width and height when resizing. It seems when using the scale tool, the "jumps" that are used do not seem to correlate to any grid snapping pattern either and more so just seem arbitrary.

This would be useful. Illustrator has a great design pattern for setting a specific size initially, a single click (analogous to a single tap) presumes that because you haven't dragged to scale the shape it prompts you with a popup window with width & height or radius etc.fields to enter specific measurements.

How to do this on an existing shape might be a bit trickier, illustrator has a menagerie of panels floating around at any time. Perhaps in Inkpad's 'Edit' menu you could have a 'Size & Units' item which would prompt you with a popover form with two or three fields (similar to the 'Settings > Size & Units' popover for the canvas size).
