key is null in metric response when more than 1 exists

When doing a group-by aggregation with a filter that matches time series with multiple $key's the response contains key: null. There is no indication of what the other keys could be nor does it seem possible to aggregate by $key.

I'm not sure if the keys should also be populated in commonTags?
