Is this project dead?

I'm about to start some Spotify integration into my Android App, but I see the last commit in Master was 2 years ago also there are MANY issues outstanding.

Should I even bother with this?

It is actually in a state of disrepair. For example, one of the bean class uses a param "hasChildren" to tag if it could be use at getting child-objects. However, it does not fully guarantee this. But most of the api works, you can use this sdk together with the web api.
