Better to wait for Gradle v7.6 release, to make the configuration in the build script simple:
These simplifications however require backing support in the Gradle API, so are only available when using the Plugin Publish Plugin with Gradle v7.6 or later. This version is however not yet released. That is why the links to the Gradle manual you find on this page refer to the "nightly" build of the manual. https://plugins.gradle.org/docs/publish-plugin#breaking-changes
Looks like com.gradle.plugin-publish is no longer a dependency, so this is no longer needed.
