Describe the change
Update python version 3.8. reached EOL https://devguide.python.org/versions/ @atoulme I assume that Python3.9 is currently oldest supported version
@atoulme can you confirm that we should have Python 3.9 as a oldest supported version in documentation?
Please ask @akubik-splunk for review. I am not responsible for instrumentation.
@pmcollins Please review this changes and confirm that we are ok to update to 3.9+ For completeness

Note sure about "Python 3.8 and 3.9" in ./locales/ja_JA/LC_MESSAGES/gdi.po and similar appears in ./locales/ja_JA/LC_MESSAGES/_includes.po
Shouldn't https://github.com/splunk/public-o11y-docs/blob/main/_includes/requirements/python.rst be also updated?
AWS is not listing Python 3.8 anymore https://docs.aws.amazon.com/lambda/latest/dg/lambda-runtimes.html
