Are flash cards compatible between an OMP and an eMate?

Cards from NOS 1.x devices can be read on NOS 2.x devices, but not written to. They can also be converted (updated?) for NOS 2.x devices. Cards from NOS 2.x devices (or that have been converted to be compatible with NOS 2.x) cannot be read on NOS 1.x devices. They also cannot be converted back to be compatible with NOS 1.x devices.
