Some JPGs will not properly upload in the Manager
I am running MODX 2.2.0-pl2 and Gallery 1.4.0 rc1. Server Setup:
PHP 5.2.17 mySQL 5.091-log Memory Limit 90M post_max_size 8M upload_max_filesize 40M Provider: einsundeins.de, Business Package 5.0
When I upload images to the backend through the gallery component, regardless if it is a multiple upload or a single file upload, some images are successfully uploaded, but they are not shown anywhere (frontend or backend).. not even as thumbnails. The gray box shows up, but not the image.
I tried taking some of the problem images and resaving them with PHotoshop to see if there was some weird corrupt thing in the file itself, but even those images were not uploading. The file names also do not include any strange characters or umlauts....
Are there any other server settings that you would need to know about that may help determine what the problem is?

I have found out that if I reduce the filesize to under 1 MB that the images will upload and are shown in the manager. But there has been and still is a problem on the frontend. Sometimes thumbnails will be shown and sometimes just the name and the css around the image.
What I also have noticed is that even though I assigned width and height 80 pixels to the snippet call, and with firebug you can see that in the link the proper values were sent...the image is always shown like at 80x53...

i also had this issue several times with jpg. i found out that reducing resolution form 300 to 72 dpi before uploading solved that issue for me + saving them in another format like png
