Don't delete GOG files - only nGlide

Open Mystyle-48 opened this issue 11 months ago • 2 comments

There are a bunch more "useless" GOG files included with the installation anyway (goggame-1207658940.dll, goggame-1207658940.info, etc). Best to leave them alone and only remove nGlide.

Yes, i think this is the way.

Removing all the files was mostly my personal preference (and i didn't really care about Galaxy support back then)

I'll merge this whenever i have the time to work on the next version (very overdue) and also probably add a way to manually perform the full cleanup.

Imo I don't see the use case ... those files can just be deleted manually if they are getting in the way.

May I suggest removing this file deletion feature entirely to improve compatibility with Rayman Control Panel? RCP now has a mod loader that stores the original copies of replaced files in a separate directory, that way the vanilla game installation can be restored if a mod is uninstalled. Currently, if I want to switch back to nGlide for any reason, I have to reinstall the game or verify files.
