Hello,

i am using elementary OS 5.1 Hera.

When I am creating a new Panel on the Desktop the CPU usage get high on the Laptop: Bildschirmfoto von 2020-01-07 11-39-37

After removing the Panel the CPU usag gets normal again (about 1%).

PC: Dell Lattitude 5401 Version of desktop folder: 1.1.2

Any Ideas how to fix that problem?

Using elementary OS 5.1.5 Hera on pc with Intel Core i5-7400 CPU @ 3.00GHz ; 12Gb memory, and having the same issue: Desktop app is hogging 10% of my cpu power, according to htop. Without panel CPU of com.github.shpheras.desktopfoldr is negligeable...

If it is normal usage of CPU when having panels ? In which case I'd just not use them.

Beside that, great job and functionalities !

Hi, well, in my tests I have a "Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3320M CPU @ 2.60GHz" and 8GB. When the desktop is being rendered the CPU was about 9%, if the desktop is not being rendered (behind an opaque window on top for example), then it was about 2%. Not sure what is happening there, because there is not any process if you are not moving the mouse over the panels... the only point is the GTK rendering process, but that's something I can't control.
