Doesn't seem to work with IMEs

I can't use an IME (mozc) with any part of Desktop Folder. I can use it with most other GTK apps though (elementary required some extra configuration). No idea if this would have anything to do with IBus or something.

(mozc is a Japanese IME, the free software version of Google Japanese IME)

It converts standard latin keys on the keyboard to complex characters, e.g. Kanji (Chinese characters). See here on Wikipedia.

Example: typing "nihonngo" and pressing "space" with a Japanese IME would result in: 日本語
