Can't view Private Key after changing password

Open abraham-situmorang opened this issue 8 months ago • 3 comments

Description

Hi, I'm using Electrum on Android. After logging in, I went to Wallet details > Change password and successfully changed my password.

However, when I go to Addresses/Coins, select an address, and tap "Tap to show private key", entering the new password doesn't work — it doesn't show the private key.

Looks like the new password isn't being recognized for that action. Is this a bug, or am I missing something?

What version of Electrum is this with? Also, what type of wallet? That is, tap top-left-corner, and go into "Wallet details". What are the labels/tags listed at the top, directly below the text "Wallet details"?

it looks like an encryption bug. do you remember when you created the wallet? was it with an older version of Electrum?
