fork future?
hello people,
heh, had a read of this https://github.com/spender-sandbox/cuckoo-modified/commit/eb93ef3d41b8fee51b4330306dcd315d8101e021
is this (cuckoo-modified,community-modified,cuckoomon-modified repo) going to be reforked or maintained as is while Brad is let's say 'away indefinitely' ?
ps absolutely no issues with Brad , just want to know where we (users) are / if anyone formally decided etc
@spender-sandbox, i know and saw a lot of discussions about that, but i think if you stop maintain this repo, it would be good to allow to upstream use at least some parts of your code, its just my opinion, i think community will win a bit in case if you allow that(instead of create thouthands of unmaintained forks) but i just asking, dont get me wrong please, i apreciate a lot your effort here and work which you did, and i know what you dislike what they will sell your work, but now as im working on my linux analyzer (https://linux.huntingmalware.com/) to add support and improve it, i saw how damn hard is keep all up to date
Just my 2 cents, and a lot of people would like to know your response, last time about that

I hope it too. but, as @doomedraven said we should wait @spender-sandbox to know what he wants to do with this awesome project. Trashing it it's a really a pity especially if you think about all the guys who dedicated hours/days in coding and bug fixing and to support other people's problem.
ok guys, i will have a copy of this, as keep some stuff in issues and prs is not nice, so feel free to push against https://github.com/doomedraven/cuckoo-modified will fork the community and monitor also

@garanews give it a shot ;) i have some packers which isn't running on mod anymore, and works fine on v2, at the moment i have everything what i need in v2
about the CAPE is nice idea, but write dll per family and reexecute analysis to extract(2 analysis to get config) all that can be easilly done in one execution
I Just posted the last spender cuckoo that has been mantained but, yes cuckoo 2 does an awesome job in term of detection and stability.
