Looker API shows errors that aren't in the explore view (relating to parameters and filters in LookML)

Looker seems to be returning errors from the API that (1) are unclear as to their provenance and (2) don't who up in the explore view at all.

A recent example is:

The filter "Overall" should be a value, not a label

This error seems to relate to the usage of a parameter, but nothing with the explore is 'broken' and the error doesn't show up when we click 'Explore from Here'. It does show up in the query history view in Looker, so unclear what's happening. It's happening for two customers, so I'm going to work with Looker support to figure out what it means.

Having spoken with Looker support this morning, they believe this is likely a bug on their end. They will be updating us as it progresses.
