With the Coldcard Mk4 adding NFC support, it would be awesome if Sparrow Wallet could do the same: https://coldcard.com/docs/coldcard-mk4

What desktop NFC reader are you using?

Good question. I thought the Macbook Pro came with one built in.

The HID Omnikey 5022 CL is I believe the same thing sold on the CoinKite site as Mac/Win/Linux compatible

Would love to use Tapsigner and Satscard with Sparrow

NFC support for the Tapsigner and Satscard has been released in Sparrow v1.7.2, and tested using the HID Omnikey 5022 CL linked above (which is also sold on the Coinkite store). The Mk4 is not compatible with this reader unfortunately.

Im waiting for my tapsigner to arrive and I have bought a ACR122U for my Linux desktop. It works, I can use the scanner to read bank cards etc. Will this work with Sparrow as it doesn't seem to see the reader

It's less about what Sparrow can see, and more about what the Tapsigner supports: https://github.com/coinkite/coinkite-tap-proto#requirements

ah "NOT recommended: ACS ACR122U. It can work, and is widely available, but is not reliable" - looks like I messed up, thanks for the info though
