Maybe related to bug 228446.

We have expensive database call to get the app up and running. If there is no update available, fine we make the call in there. But if there is an update, we defer the call. Unfortunately, there is no hook for the user saying he will not download the update and consequently we never get a good place to make the database connection.

Adding a delegate method that describes the user's action in the update dialog would solve this for us.
