They don't care about bug reports!

It seems that Sparkfun doesn't care about issue or bug reports!

As far as I can see, the existing issues aren't noticed by Sparkfun - they don't comment nor help to solve them.

I would have filed another bug regarding TCP client, but it makes no sense obviously...

Hi @whatis777 - thanks for your feedback. We do actually monitor all of our GitHub issues coming in, but unfortunately, we have been working on some larger scale projects currently on repositories that also have several issues we are working on cleaning up and have not had the bandwidth to address every issue that arises immediately.

Part of the reason that we post all of our files on GitHub is so that the community at large can see the issues with the code and work on them together. By posting the problem you are currently having with the TCP client, it informs us of what we need to research, but also can let others know where problems may arise. The upside to this is that there is the possibility that someone else in the community may also be able to assist you before we get a chance to. That is one of the great benefits of open sourcing projects.

As I mentioned, we are working on finishing up some other large scale projects, so hopefully in the next few weeks, we'll be able to dig into all the issues here and solve them. In the meantime, it would be helpful if you could elaborate on the issue you are seeing.

Hi Toni, thanks for your prompt reaction. I created this ticket because I saw that some other tickets are nearly one year old without a comment.

You are right - the software is open source and the community could/should participate. But this software is the 'key' for running the hardware that is sold commercially. So if the software doesn't work the hardware won't be useable. So I hope Sparkfun will find the time to support its products.

OK, I will post my issues with the ESP8266.

Kind regards

hello guys, seems that this repo is full of bugs, but there are a lot of forks, are you using any of them without problems?
