support for wcs
in the iraf imexamine task, if set wcs=world and press 'a' key, it can print image coordinates as well as wcs, for example : COL LINE COORDINATES R MAG FLUX SKY PEAK E PA ENCLOSED GAUSSIAN DIRECT 1304.81 2684.19 183.9039 36.32291 10.57 20.41 68.59 0.1386 2.37 0.06 47 5.93 3.86 3.51 where 183.9039 36.32291 are the ra and dec of the star.
I wonder that is there a similar function or setting that can enable me to get the wcs of any stars on a image?
I was going to raise the same issue.
wcs is on my list of stuff to tackle soon, trying to find the best way to support multiple wcs libraries, but will ping you both here when I have something for you to test!

Thanks for the quick reply! This has great promise and big chunks of it already look great.
One other note, though it may seem trivial: "it's" is used repeatedly as a possessive in the documentation. As the offspring of two English teachers I find it a bit distracting. The rule is, of course:
"it's" = "it is", a contraction;
"its" = the possessive, shorn of the apostrophe to avoid a name collision with "it's".
Thanks!
John
