FULL Disclosure: What I want to use this for is a kind of "repo" for free-licensed teaching/learning materials (no software, just documents and files). My current domain for this is libretools.com. Currently, I use owncloud (in a subdomain) but I like that Cheryl gets right to the point with its search feature (which owncloud does not). I can go to the page and search for what I want (e.g. I want SVG's -- okay, blahm, here there are!). So all I really want/need is 1. admin user(s) that have write permission to upload files and 2. anonymous search and download for anyone who just wants some materials. (and of course, some assurance that the PHP won't be easily cracked and let nefarious users upload embarrassing material that could ruin someone's [a teacher like me's] reputation)
