If synchronizing the new content should be always on he top of the list.

You mean the list should scroll to the top? That already happens but ONLY if you are already scrolled to the absolute top of the list.

Because syncing can happen at anytime in the background, if the app were to scroll you to the top on sync, then it would break a user's flow if they were already scrolling down and reading items. (I've tested it, and it's super annoying)

not sure if this is the same issue or not but here it goes... what I'm seeing is this:

1. start from an empty feed list
2. start sync process manually
3. i would expect that once the sync process has finished the list has scrolled to the top to show the most recent / oldest article but instead it doesn't and I have to manually scroll to see the first article

I this expected behaviour?

This is already how feeder behaves (if you already are at the top)
