Don't mark as read when opening article option

Make an option to leave article as unread when opening it. Right now when I open an article, it's automatically marked as read. I want to be able to mark them as read manually only.
Why should this be added?
Sometimes I accidentally open an article and when I go back to the articles list it disappears. Especially if I'm using custom tabs as the default for opening articles, there's no way to mark them as unread if that happens. Also sometimes after finishing reading an article I want to save it in favourites but it disappears because marked as read, and I need to enable recently read and then find it an save it.

Would it not be more appropriate to have a way to easily reverse the 'mark as read' action? Instead of making it a manual only operation?
Is there a way to make a keep unread button inside custom chrome tab? This could be better probably
When you open an article, there a button in the menu for that: Mark as unread
