Glitch when closing an article opened in browser tab

Steps to reproduce

Sometimes closing a tab (Firefox) leads to an unexpected refresh or just an artefact when returning in the list (cf screenshots)

OK I understand that returning to the feed after closing an article opened in browser's tab is considered as a "startup" ? Would it be possible to differentiate application startup from tab closing and not refresh in this case ?

There is no difference from the perspective of the app. Opening a custom tab is the same as opening another app.

So harder than it sounds.
