A new ghost role, the Promobots

An idea for a new ghost role I had when I was very tired, but I think it could work in some form. Feedback very welcome.

I feel like you should put the "no advertising is greatest crew harm" as the 2nd or 0th law. as long as it takes precedence over law 2. so that someone couldn't say "law 2. advertising causes crew harm from now on" and cause the silicon to be just a normal borg without the ability to help the crew.

I really like this idea, but i feel that there is no reason for the crew to not try to kill the bots outright, maybe something could be added like, each time someone sees an adds some money gets transferred to cargo or maybe if the promobot infestation is eliminated nanotrasen deducts a moderate amount of credits from cargo as a penalty for the destruction of nanotrasen property.

Not necessarily a bad thing, as engaging with the ghost role either positively or negatively would be dependant on the general vibes of that particular station. Perhaps a loyalist captain would put out an order for them to be protected while a more ruthless one would put up a bounty for their extermination.

Though one thought, since this is an event tied to ghost roles it could fall into a problem that other similar events share where in if there are no ghost players (Low Pop/Nobody willing to play) then the event simply... doesn't happen. Another event that can get around this is Mice Infestations, because the mice are able to act autonomously while still not being directly controlled by a player. What would the thoughts be on allowing this role to act in a similar fashion?

My original line of thinking had the bots acting similar to closet skeletons, where they don't do anything until someone jumps into them. My main concern with giving them an AI is that a lot of the fun (in theory) comes from conversations between the bots and crew, and without a player that interaction becomes pointless.

My main problem with this is that if the bots only bring obstacles in long term and the crew loses nothing from destroying them, they will become KOS at least in lrp servers.

Like Mixelz said, that's not a problem. People deciding how to interact with them is what makes them interesting.
