[Bug] Optifine not even trying to install

Description of Issue

Whenever I try to run the .jar file to install Optifine for 1.20.1 (HD_U_I5), it just doesn't work at all. It loads for half a second then gives up, never even opening a window prompting me to install it. I have run 1.20.1 before, so that can't be the issue.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Download OptiFine_1.20.1_HD_U_I5.jar from the official optifine site
  2. Open my downloads folder
  3. Either double-click on it or right-click and select open, both giving the same results
  4. It loads for a few frames (loading icon by cursor)
  5. Nada

1.20.1_HD_U_I5

Installation Method

Double-click or right-click and select "open" on the JAR file itself.

Log Files/Crash Reports

No crashes from this year. No relevant logs.

Try to uninstall java and install it again
