[1.16.3] [Bug Report]: OptiFine with Shoulder Surfing Reloaded

Description of Issue

OptiFine with Shoulder Surfing Reloaded (1.16.3 and below) [https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/shoulder-surfing-reloaded]

With any shaders in Shoulder Surfing third-person mode, all shadows from all objects rotate with my character, although this should not be happening. There was no such error in 1.12.2, just tested this. I'm not sure about other versions, since I don't use them. If you move the camera 20 up and 20 to the left (relative to the standard position), literally the whole world is just black. Tested with BSL, SEUS and Sildur's shaders.

Here's what the SSR developer replied:

1.12 and 1.16 function in a vastly different way. Afaik there is no way for me to fix this. The only thing you could do is open up an issue on the optifine. Note: Optifine is NOT open source so i can not easily identify and fix this problem. Changes in the render system lead to this regression problem. Thats why you need to contact the developers of your shaders mod (optifine) in order to get this fixed.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Install OptiFine
  2. Install SSR
  3. Install and Activate any of Shaders (I'm using BSL v7.2)
  4. Press F5 in the game
  5. Move the camera with arrows button (left, right, up, down)

Prior Testing

If you've installed standalone:

  • Does this happen in Vanilla without OptiFine?

Can't test it without Shaders.

If you've installed using Forge:

  • Does this happen without other mods installed?
    • Only OptiFine and Forge

Yes, I'm test it only with OF and SSR too.

Unfortunately optifine 1.16 or above is incompatible with shoulder surfing mod.

If you want shaders using the mod you can simply use ocolus instead of optifine. https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/oculus
