Does not work with macOS Big Sur 11.0 ?
Hi guys, I'm using the newest macOS 11.0 and I'm not able to move the application into the Finder Toolbar. Am I simply stupid or has this to do with the newest macOS release?
Anyone using this tool with the macOS Big Sur?
Any tips what I could try or what I'm doing wrong?
Kind regards and thanks for the tool, Daniel Oberlechner :) 👍
I just updated to Big Sur, and seems to work just fine for me :) That said, the icon doesn't really fit the new style - that should probably be fixed
@thomas-darling
I made a GIF to show you and the Dev's here that on my macOS it really doesn't work and I can't find out why ...
Has anyone an idea what I'm doing wrong or where here specially is the problem?
I can confirm it works with Big Sur 11.0.1. Did you "While holding Command key, drag Open in Code.app to Finder toolbar"?
@DanielOberlechner
The trick is to press and hold the command
key while dragging - meaning, press and hold the command
key, then click and drag the icon to the Finder toolbar, and then release the command
key 😉
No I did indeed forget that! I will try that later, thanks for the help !!! 😊😉

@soumendrak You'll have to allow software from not verified developers. Go to Settings -> Security and there allow under General All Software from all Developers ...
Profit! :)
No need to allow "from not verified developers", you can right click on the app icon and choose open, and then allow just this one app - then add it to the menu bar and profit =)
Works great with Mac OS 12.1 Thank you!
