Poor hinting of U+2500 (BOX DRAWINGS LIGHT HORIZONTAL) at font sizes 9, 11 and 13

Here’s a screenshot illustrating the problem:

The bottom characters fail to align properly. I first noticed this problem on DEV03172016, but didn’t report it because I assumed it was covered by the existing box-drawing issues. However, the problem still persists with Hack-v2_020.

The text being rendered is:

I tested on a variety of configurations:

• this problem only occurs when hintstyle is set to hintfull
• this problem only occurs at font sizes 9, 11, 13
