VOICES: Not all voices are working

Device info:

• iPhone 14 Pro

• iOS 16.6

Repro Steps:

1. Go to Settings
2. Select 'Voice'
3. Select any voice
4. Repeat for a number of voices in the list

Expected Results: When a voice is selected, you will hear "This is , how does this sound?" in the voice chosen

Actual Results:

1. Not all voices have any speech. If you then go back to the Home Screen and select My Location, Around Me etc, then no speech will be heard
2. For some voices, speech is heard but the incorrect voice is heard, e.g. in the attached screen recording, 'Kate (enhanced' is the same voice as 'Daniel (enhanced)'.

I think we saw something similar to this in the past, if I remember correctly it was either something to do with the voices not actually being on the phone, but still shown on the list, or some voices just simply not working

Hmm, I'm not sure how to reproduce what you're seeing in the video. All the voices in my list seem to work, but I haven't tried to install many others beyond the default US English and a few European languages.

If you can figure out a procedure to install/remove a language that reliably results in that language showing up on the list in Soundscape but not working (either says nothing, or still sounds like another voice), we might be able to figure out how to exclude that language from the selectable options.
