Readd z

It seems like fasd is no longer maintained, as last commit was 2 years ago.

Would it be possible to readd z? (which is actively maintained)

Sure, I've only used fasd for directories, and nothing else. But, I won't have both; it will have to be one or the other. So, others will have to speak up.

Is there something better than z in the directory jumping world?

Are you sure it's been two years?

Branches overview says 2 years: https://github.com/clvv/fasd/branches Looks like the author (@clvv) hasn't made any commits at all for the past year.

Not sure if there's anything better, I currently use z.

Fasd is no longer in active development, mainly because it has reached my original vision. I do plan to fix up some minor bugs. And since I designed it to be mostly POSIX-compatible, I don't expect it to break either.

I honestly like fasd. I thought the project was dead! It's good to know it's still alive =). In that case, I don't think it's enough reason to remove it.

z.lua is faster and more convenient than fasd. Maybe we can replace fasd with z.lua.

+1 for z

There seems to be a more actively maintained fork https://github.com/whjvenyl/fasd
