It might be 78899608 causing the problem. Does the commit before this one work ok?
Maybe check if `wf-panel` does the same thing.

Does this work in any other compositor with this gpu, such as sway? It looks like the error message is due to your gpu or drivers not supporting [modifiers](https://www.collabora.com/news-and-blog/blog/2017/02/09/notes-on-drm-format-modifiers/).
What I'd like to see is, the tooltip updated at `$interval` while it's open, as the button data is.
@NamorNiradnug I know this seems a bit convoluted, but I was hoping you might be able to help improve upon it.
I have been testing this and it seems to be an improvement, so merging before release.
As @marcusbritanicus said, this can be done using a dedicated plugin and a decorator client but this is not a goal for wayfire-plugins-extra at this time. Closing.
Probably could use PR #2434 and add a minimum size of 1x1 or so, for views that don't set a min size.
