PoMMO does not work with PHP 5.5 and 5.6 Versions

Open davidjohny opened this issue 9 years ago • 6 comments

Dear Programmer.

I like using PoMMO and it works great on PHP 5.2.17. All the current features of PoMMo are good and great and I want to use it for coming years.

However it does not work with PHP 5.5 or 5.6 versions. Could you make it compatible with latest PHP 5.5 or 5.6 versions?

Best Wishes, Dave.

Hello David,

I haven't been actively working in PoMMo for a while. Porting it will take more time than I am willing to do at the moment. If you would like to work on porting it I will be happy to help.

Regards, Adrian

Soonick, just from my side. You have developed a very user friendly mailer here. I been using it as well. Would love to see it updated. All credit and Blessings to you. Hope you can get inspired to keep this going.

Adrian, I just want to add my encouragement for you, or other poMMo authors to keep this wonderful mailer up to date with changes occurring in PHP. I used poMMo a few years back for a project, and absolutely loved it. Now I again have need for it, and find it won't run on the versions of PHP available on my host's servers. :-( I hope you can find the time to bring poMMo up to date. Thanks.

Same problem here. Moved to a new server (PHP 5.6.14-0+deb8u1 - Debian Jessie) it doesn't work. Last good was a Debian Wheezy with PHP 5.4.45-0+deb7u2

is there any workaround available or PoMMo is dead now?

php5 (5.4.45-0+deb7u2) wheezy-security; urgency=medium

  • PHP 5.4 has reached end-of-life on 14 Sep 2015 and as a result there will be no more new upstream releases. The security support of PHP 5.4 in Debian will be best effort only and you are strongly advised to upgrade to latest stable Debian release that includes PHP 5.6 that will reach end of security support on 28 Aug 2017.

Hello @marrco,

Sadly, I no longer have time to mantain PoMMo. So I won't be fixing this anytime soon.
