Feature Request: test signal generator on various audio paths

Yes, Sonobus is great. I love Sonobus very much. But it is also a pain in the ass! In my personal experience, from all the people all over the world I tried using it with, it worked correctly ~50% of cases. Needless to say, in all those cases where it did let us down we wasted hours trying to make it work. I fully understand that Sonobus is using novel peer-2-peer techniques and that many ISPs are simply too rotten for Sonobus to work. But exactly because of that, I think that Sonobus needs more self-checking and more testing tools built-in. One such tool, IMHO, could be a simple test signal on/off checkbox at various audio paths. Nothing fancy, a simple 1kHz sine wave at -12dB would be just right. A checkbox next to input mixer, monitor fader and "disable sending"-per-peer checkbox would be great.

In that way we could easily double-check signal paths in mere seconds as opposed to hours when flying blind.

Thanks.
