Tried to recover buffer contents with git, but there is no git repository

Hello,

My PC crashed and when I rebooted and launched Sonic-Pi my buffer was lost.

I stumbled upon this post https://in-thread.sonic-pi.net/t/just-found-out-that-sonic-pi-work-space-is-saved-with-git/5811 and tried to follow the instructions to recover my workspace.

Upon arriving to the folder, I notice two things.

1. The workspace file reads out: # Loading previous buffer contents. Please wait...
2. There is no .git folder.

Moreover, upon opening git bash and going to the folder and running git log, console reads out: fatal: not a git repository (or any of the parent directories): .git

Is my work lost or is there some hope to get my workspace back?
