Nexus 3.77.1-01 reset admin password

Open vmartowicz opened this issue 1 year ago • 5 comments

Hi

After upgrading to version 3.77.1-01 using docker compose with traefik v3, my instance is asking for new admin password when I want to log in.

Your admin user password is located in /nexus-data/admin.password on the server.

If using the admin password located in this path, I m not able to log in. Same behavior with the credentials of mys users, I m not able to log in.

And my other users/credentials are not working too.

What should I do?

The same problem occurs for me. I needed to roll back to the previous version to be able to continue with our work. The log didn’t really give any information which would have caused this issue

Working after restart....

Good morning,

The information you provide is false. Indeed I went from version 3.76.1 to 3.77.1 and it seems that the Nexus is corrupted, even after a restart.

@TheCalypso sorry to read your answer but in my case it was working after restart. But I m not able to explain why...

After a week of use, all user passwords got reset — including the custom admin password. How to restore the admin password is known only to God. All the instructions online are outdated. Would it really be that hard to just add a token generation feature in the app instead of confusing users with this access recovery mess?
