User name attributes from LDAP not flexible enough

Open oebeledrijfhout opened this issue 6 months ago • 0 comments

Nexus 3.70.1-2 - The Real name attribute setting in the LDAP config currently takes only a single attribute and makes assumptions about its layout: first name + space + last name. In LDAP or AD domains that don't follow this convention, this leads to problems with parsing the First name and Last name fields of LDAP users.

Take for example this format which is very common in Germany and possibly other European countries: cn: Smith, John which results in a user with first name "Smith," and last name "John".

It should be possible to assign separate attributes for First name and Last name.
