I am wondering whether the "freezes" I experience are somehow related to what is described in https://github.com/libusb/libusb/pull/1127 . I will try with the code proposed in this PR as well.

@mcuee : Regarding the "freeze": I should soon be able to reproduce it and study it more in depth. I'll keep you posted
