New QP PerlCritic is added after upgrading plugin from 0.5.3 to 0.6.0

Hi,

We have recently upgraded our QA environment to SonarQube 9.9 LTS and upgraded the perl plugin v0.5.3 to v0.6.0 as we were facing issues with older version (v0.5.3) in SonarQube 9.9 LTS.

After the upgrade, we have observed that new extra quality profile is added as PerlCritic which is not the case before. We seek your help on understanding what has changed in the Perl plugin since v0.5.3 and v0.6.0,

I really don't understand why you tagged me with this. I have nothing to do with this project, I just added one single small commit like 6 years ago, when this projects version was 0.3 or something

@eshwarkarthikn I'm in the same situation as Stummi: I only did very minor contributions on the project. I think mentioning random contributor like you did doesn't really help to solve your issue.

I guess that your best option is to wait for an active contributor to have time to dedicate to your issue. Also you can look at the diff between version 0.5.3 and 0.6.0: https://github.com/sonar-perl/sonar-perl/compare/0.5.3...0.6.0

Hello @eshwarkarthikn, I'm the main maintainer of this plugin. The reason you're seeing the duplication is most likely cause by a rename of the plugin identifier in https://github.com/sonar-perl/sonar-perl/pull/95 which was needed to meet SonarQube marketplace requirements.

I don't have any installation myself to test, but it should be possible to rename all old plugin references in the DB from perl to communityperl. But make sure to make backups.
