Crashing upon loading of video in the client

Open routinetrafficstop opened this issue 7 years ago • 5 comments

The program was working fine for some time... I've attempted to re-install, to no avail.

When I enter a url, and then hit enter to begin to load the file, the wheel will spin and then freeze and the app will force close shortly after. I've tried a few different links as well.

Let me know if I can add any additional information!

Thank you,

Aaron

I've found some successes with restarting the PC and the program will seem to work for a few videos... and then the same issue will occur. Force-quitting. Now even with a restart it happens at times.

@routinetrafficstop it's nice to see that someone uses the application! Could you please give me more details on your setup? Is this happening on Windows?

Yes this is windows 10, i9, 32gb ram

Not sure what other details to give. I started up my computer today and I got 3 videos to work for me, then whatever url I would put in it would just keep the last video and it would have some sort of dll error in the title to the left of the URL bar. No matter what url I put in.

Upon closing the program and opening it back up - it would start force closing again.

I'll take a screen cap the next time I'm able to get the program working and reproduce this again. Currently I cannot reproduce because i'm just getting the wheel to spin and it force closes again. Not certain why it will only work on occasion.

I'll be sure to post when I have more info, and if there is anything specific that I can get you let me know!

The application is very useful for me when it's working! :) Its a great tool for twitch streamers to find videos online and convert them into webm and clip them in one spot - this format is great for uploading to streamlabs OBS.

Thank you,

Aaron

I know this is likely not a priority for you... I defiantly cannot fault you for that :)

I just wanted to let you know I still get intermittent crashing. The application will only work about 5% of the time. When it does work, I can get about 5 to 10 videos to convert before it crashes in the same manner again.

I still open it time to time to see if it wont crash, but still having the same issues. No worries, either way. Just wanted to say, when this works, it is a great application for my needs, and I appreciate you taking the time to make it, and to respond to be previously :) <3

Stay well!

I have the same problem, it worked fine for some time, but now it will crash after inserting a link and hitting enter even when i restarted my computer. Reinstalling didnt solve the problem. I really like your program, it fits all my needs and is very easy to use, just a shame it doesnt work. Im using WIndows 10. Let me know if you need more info.
