Installation of Slack hangs

Installing since 1 hour. Google Chrome stable installed without problems. Where can I see the log or errors while installing?

Installation via terminal as described here https://solus-project.com/articles/software/third-party/en/ worked. How can I help to make the GUI installer work too?

This is not specific to Slack, I have had this issue when trying to install anything from the "Third Party" section of the software center.

Well, it would still be nice to know where to view errors that happen during installation of packages.
