How to create dump files for card emulation

Open gabrielmcf opened this issue 1 year ago • 3 comments

Sorry, created this with wrong user. Just copying from the other issue: It was not clear to me how can I create a binary dump file of an NFC tag to use in the card emulator. I've tried a few android tools but none can give to me out of the box a binary format. Not sure how to convert the hex file to binary. Appreciate if we could add more details on that in the docs.

What kind of card do you want to emulate in the card emulator app ?

As he dont seems to be responding anymore im just going to ask it, could you make a in depth tutorial for every kind of card? I have no idea what my card uses and how would i identify it? App on ios or something?

Are you talking about bin files ? If so, usually there is no conversion at all.

All other formats like .dump , .mdf, .dmp , .nfc or you name it are just raw data that can be placed in any other container. So you need to just change the file extension from .dump to .bin for example and that's it.

Also on my allmiibo device i think i've seen .dump files on the loading menu as well (for Card Emulation), so i think allmiibo will load them all (regardless if they have .bin extension or not)

I'm not sure what you are emulating tho. What i said is true for Skylanders, Disney and LEGO emulation while using the Card Emulator feature.
